The Con Artist

The painting was inspired by a true story of a Con Artist who was very quiet calm and calculating. As depicted in the painting, through the use of similar colors both in the back ground and though his dressing, he is one of us, blends easily within us, fits in any environment, he is quiet but smart, seeing more than we can see. He is sad on the outside but very calculated and contented on the inside. He hides his true self as portrayed by the fantastic brush work around the face that brings out a blurriness to symbolize hypocrisy  Takes his time plan knowing at the end of the day the sad face will be replaced by a wide smile, after his malicious and well thought out plan comes to fruition……………he is the Con Artist.
